About the Council
The Tri-M Council is a student-run organization of the band that allows students to have a voice in the ways and means of the Band Program. The Tri-M Council consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Alumni Coordinator, and Classroom Representatives from each class of the Band Program.
Mission

Promoting music education to the next generation of Tallwood Lions.
Officers
President
Liz E.
Duties:
The President is responsible for organizing and running Council meetings. The President is also responsible for the oversight of the Council members, and communicating pertinent information with the other officers.
Vice Presidents
Kristen B.
Duties:
The Vice President(s) is(are) responsible for covering any and all duties of the president in his/her absence, and keeping track of volunteer hours and volunteer work.
Secretary
Shelby M.
Duties:
The Secretary is responsible for keeping the calendar and “This Week In Band” up to date, publicizing concerts at school, recording minutes at each meeting, typing them, presenting them at the next meeting, and making them available to anyone who would like to see them.
Treasurer
Ondra T.
Duties:
The Treasurer is responsible for organizing and encouraging fundraisers, dealing with any flow of money through the Tri-M Council, and dealing with Student Fund issues.
Historian
Jen R.
Duties:
The Historian is responsible for keeping track of what music the band has played, what awards the band or individuals have won, and taking pictures to keep an album/scrapbook for the band.
Alumni Coordinator
Angela S.
Duties:
The Alumni Coordinator is responsible for keeping in touch with the alumni, and informing them of band picnics, concerts, and other pertinent events.
Classroom Representatives
Duties:
The Classroom Representatives are responsible for transferring information from their respective classes to the Council, and vice versa.
